Our first site demonstrates the potential of believing people can create a brighter future.\u00a0 <\/span>Since 2005, we\u2019ve created a remarkable and inspirational venue: hand-crafted by our groups and demonstrating how it is possible to bring together the best of the old and the new to build a zero-carbon outdoor learning venue.<\/strong><\/p>\n Experience remarkable buildings made with natural materials \u2013 designed to be good for people and good for the planet. From timber frame buildings filled with natural insulation to earthen buildings with green roofs, our buildings are unlike anything you\u2019ll have experienced before.\u00a0 <\/span>They \u201cbreathe\u201d naturally and they attract biodiversity \u2013 they show how buildings can benefit people and the planet and can be created through a community-centred approach.<\/span><\/p>\n We are early adopters of renewable technologies.\u00a0 <\/span>Our solar electric (22kW) array generates all of our day to day electricity needs \u2013 and we import 100% renewable electricity for our Electric Vehicle charge points.\u00a0 <\/span>We harvest rainwater for our flushing toilets and our small holding needs and we even have our own ecological sewage treatment system.\u00a0 <\/span>We mainly heat our buildings from the sun and from using highly efficient wood burners with firewood supplied from our own woodland activities.<\/span><\/p>\n This beautiful site is available to hire for smaller and larger events. Little Bryn Gwyn showcases commercial construction standards delivered through our unique health-care centred model working with groups from vulnerable backgrounds. Round pole buildings with spiralling roofs, hardwood floors and clay plasters, our buildings are a sensory sensation and \u201cbreathe\u201d naturally.<\/p>\n We design our sites around the sun. Our 11kW solar electric (PV) array produces our electricity.\u00a0 <\/span>Our south facing buildings are designed to be heated by the sun in the colder times of the year, and shaded from the sun in the warmer months.\u00a0 <\/span>With a ground source heat pump and highly efficient wood burners, we have buildings which show it is possible to blend the best of the old and new.<\/p>\n This beautiful site is available to hire for smaller and larger events.\u00a0 <\/span>Adjacent our site is the Valleys Kids residential centre which we built with young people.
